Common Errors

Quick Fixes
Before diving into specific troubleshooting pages, try these common remedies that resolve many issues:
- Restart Recaster — Close and reopen the application. Many transient issues resolve on restart.
- Update your GPU drivers — Outdated NVIDIA drivers are the most common cause of GPU-related errors.
- Check available disk space — Ensure at least 5 GB of free space for model downloads and temporary files.
- Reset settings — Delete or rename the
settings.jsonfile to restore defaults. You will need to reactivate your license and accept the consent dialog again. - Reinstall Recaster — Download the latest version from the Downloads page and install fresh.
