macOS Installation
Recaster for macOS is distributed as a .dmg disk image. The file is named Recaster-<version>-macos.dmg.
Open the DMG file
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file to mount the disk image. A Finder window will open showing the Recaster application icon and an Applications folder shortcut.
Drag to Applications
Drag the Recaster icon onto the Applications folder shortcut. This copies the application to your Applications directory.
Launch Recaster
Open your Applications folder and find Recaster. On the first launch only, you need to right-click (or Control-click) the application and select Open from the context menu. This is required because the build is currently unsigned.
Confirm the Gatekeeper prompt
macOS will display a warning that the application is from an unidentified developer. Click Open to confirm. After this first confirmation, you can launch Recaster normally from Launchpad, Spotlight, or the Dock.
